Are Our Souls Immortal?

Our souls came from the breath of our FATHER and like Him it may be destined to be eternal.
Genesis 2:7
then the LORD God formed the man out of the dust of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
Though our bodies may die for it came from this world, which is passing, our souls may continue to live on.
But that's not what's important in this realization, rather what we should truly get our minds and whole beings wrapped up about is our souls' destiny after its time on earth.
Our souls time on this earth is just a passing, a preparation phase for their eternal destination.
So where are our souls headed? Has it been cleansed, purged and restored to its original perfection in holiness and obedience to our FATHER and all of His Will that it may be returned to Him?
Have our souls been fully prepared that our Lord JESUS may transfigure our bodies to be made immortal like His during His Transfiguration [as an example for us] and as He ascended into heaven?
If our love is real and coming from our FATHER by His HOLY SPIRIT within through JESUS then we should be mindful and caring of all of our souls' eternal destiny --our love for one another, like JESUS', should be eternal and reaches up to heaven and not just temporal, that passes along with this world.
Let us not let souls wander into the dark abyss, ending in the unquenchable fire because though its time on earth has ended, we may still feel the torments of hell.
Though your body may pass, your soul remains to be you. Whether we be rewarded immortal bodies or punished with the second death, have eternal life in heaven or suffer eternal punishment --it is still going to be us who will experience it and it's going to be a reality that we ourselves will go through. It is as real and even greater than the joy or pain that we have experienced here on earth.
This is not our souls' final destination.
Matthew 10:28, 25:31-34, 41, 46
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne,
and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
And these will go off to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Revelation 21:5-8
The one who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then he said, “Write these words down, for they are trustworthy and true.”
He said to me, “They are accomplished. I [am] the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give a gift from the spring of life-giving water.
The victor will inherit these gifts, and I shall be his God, and he will be my son.
But as for cowards, the unfaithful, the depraved, murderers, the unchaste, sorcerers, idol-worshipers, and deceivers of every sort, their lot is in the burning pool of fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Besides, all temporal things, all that is in this world including the bodies we are being lent by GOD are actually for all His Will and Plans. It is the reason why we are here in the first place, that all temporal things may be used for our souls' eternal needs, for their purging and perfection that we may be brought back in His Presence, to live with Him eternally in His Kingdom in heaven.
Deuteronomy 10:12-14
Now, therefore, Israel, what does the LORD, your God, ask of you but to fear the LORD, your God, to follow in all his ways, to love and serve the LORD, your God, with your whole heart and with your whole being,
to keep the commandments and statutes of the LORD that I am commanding you today for your own well-being?
Look, the heavens, even the highest heavens, belong to the LORD, your God, as well as the earth and everything on it.
Romans 11:36
For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
We may have settled everything temporal for this world up to our last will and memorial plans, but how about for our souls' plan? We may have saved enough for us and our family to live well off on earth, but how about our savings for our place in GOD's Kingdom in heaven?
Whether our souls reach heaven or end up in hell, it will no longer be as short spanned as now, rather it will already be our eternal and final destination.
We pray for those who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising again.
